Welcome to ImageViewer, read below to learn what it can do for you and how to register your own personal copy.
ImageViewer combines a number of useful features, to help you quickly locate and display images. The Open window displays lists of previews and full images, based upon your selection. In this way, you can browse folder contents visually before opening! Once files are opened, you can scroll through lists of previews quickly and smoothly or view as full images. The Auto-Browse or slide show feature displays images one after another. A great feature, is the ability to use QuickTime Effects for transitions; add a cross fade to segue between images for a stunning visual effect!
Find files based on a number of criterion, such as file type, keywords or comments, see Finding Images. In addition, Keyword Find allows you to find and replace keywords as well, see Keyword Find & Replace. A custom Location window is provided, where you can add favorite or useful folders. You can then Copy or Move files to these locations with a single command or drag-and-drop. Double-clicking a location opens its contents into a new window.
As one of the first applications to read images using QuickTime Graphic Importers(adding numerous file types to open, such as PhotoShop and BMP), ImageViewer continues to take advantage of the evolving capabilities QuickTime offers. You can also play movies and MPEG files.
QuickTime Video Effects, which are especially powerful when used as visual transitions in slide shows, have been available in ImageViewer since the release of QuickTime 3.0. There is also support for QuickTime Image Capture Components(QTIC), which allow the Importing of files using PhotoShop Import plugins (e.g to download from digital cameras or scanners).
ImageViewer will continue to take advantage of new features provided by QuickTime.
ImageViewer creates custom html pages, including a table of contents, contact sheets and images. A single command allows you to quickly create web-ready pages for hundreds or thousands of images. Many settings are provided to help you customize the pages produced, see Working with HTML Page Creation for further details.
Making ImageViewer more useful to work with the inernet, including further enhancements to html page output, is a prime focus for future versions.
Custom list views are available which define the background color or pattern, as well as the size and layout of each individual list view element. Previews, icons, file name, file size, keywords and many other attributes are available for this purpose! You are not limited to a small group of pre-defined choices, in fact, up to 100 custom list views can be available.
Single image views, besides offering a large number of modes(Full Screen, Fit To Window, scaled betweeen 25% and 1600%), also allow you to set the background color or pattern and a border to frame the image.
